Albana soils generally tend to ensure a balanced development of its plants both in a vegetative and productive sense, favouring the outcome of good quality wines. Clay is an important component of this area’s soils and tends to favour the structure of wines. Greater olfactory finesse is perceived in wines obtained from soils with a significant sandy portion, in particular the yellow sands between the Faenza and Forli areas. The interaction between environment and grape variety produces white wines of an undeniable structure yet simultaneously with a well-balanced freshness. Local traditions and lifestyles are consolidated both in the still and sparkling versions.
